Hello! My name is Caleb. Earlier this year (2023) I started looking around for cars. I didn't plan on buying a car as I had a 2001 Honda Civic that I planned on putting some work into but I didn't have the time to put into it. I started looking at 5.0 Mustangs because I always wanted one. My dad is into Mustangs and is currently building an original Shelby Mustang, so the Mustang's influence came from him. I almost settled on the Mustang, but circumstances changed, and I needed something more practical. I had always liked the look of the WRX/STI platform and they are a performance car yet they have four doors and are practical. So, I started searching and I found a 2015 Metallic Grey WRX Base. I hesitated at first because I did a lot of research on their pros and cons and found out that they require a little more attention than your average 4-cylinder. It was used and had 74,000 miles on it and it was in pretty good shape. Seemed like the previous owner had taken care of it the best they could. I bought it. So, I get it home and realize it has some modifications and immediately got nervous because if they aren't tuned right, they can detonate and then I'm left with a payment and no car. I join a facebook group and get in contact with a really good mechanic and he ensures me that with the modifications that are done to it and the fact that it's running really well that it's had to be tuned. So, right now I'm making little exterior modifications and some interior modifications as well and I'm eventually going to get a COBB AP for it and take it to a tuner to make sure everything is okay. It's my daily and it's honestly fast enough for me right now to keep it as a daily so I don't think I'm going to be doing anything performance-wise for a while.
