The Story

Started out as a stock 2002 IS300, bought from a local auction. Previously i had a 2002 GS430 that was totaled. I wanted another project and I looked into what was possible with the UZ platform of engines. Once i saw a couple swapped into the IS300 i knew that was the route i wanted to go. After an engine refresh i began yanking the 2jz out and dropping the 3uz in. Hence the name IS3UZ. No need for fancy mounts, with some massaging the motor drops right in with factory gs430 mounts. I also used gs430 bellhousing, torque converter, a/c pump and lines, ecu, wiring harness, accelerator pedal, fuel pump and fuel pump ecu. Custom exhaust from the manifolds back. Transmission wise, i was able to reuse parts from the v8 and the jz trans as they are the same trans model just slightly different. Essentially combining the 2, and being able to use factory mounts, driveshaft, and wiring. Some years later i decided to supercharge it as well. Obtained a eaton m112, found on the cobra mustang, paired it with an adapter from elate manufacturing down in AUS and bolted right up to the engine. Current Setup

  • Performance: 3uz v8 engine, eaton m112 supercharger, intake manifold adapter by elate manufacturing
  • Wheels: Cheap 18x7.5, 15spoke Sothis wheels. Pirelli pzero nero gt tires
  • Suspension: Refreshed bushing, rev9 hypersport 2 coilovers
  • Exterior: Morimoto retroffited bi-xenon projectors, custom 3d printed air inlet, grey bezels
