MK7 Volkswagen Golf TDI “SLO DZL”

The Story

The first, and last year that the diesel 2.0T was offered in the MK7 Golf, due to Dieselgate. Purchased in 2017 from Volkswagen at 66,000KM. Base model 2.0T TDI w/ 6-speed transmission. It’s been my daily for 6 years, currently sitting at 166,000KM. Tastefully modified.

Current Setup

  • Wheels: 18x9 Enkei RPF1s wrapped with Indy 500s
  • Suspension: H&R sport springs, with an upgraded front Neuspeed sway-bar, and rear Neuspeed torsion bar
  • Performance: 3” straight piped exhaust to 4in tips. “Stage 2” Malone tune. Injen intake w/Kerma TDI intake hose. Neuspeed. Fluid Dampr crank pulley. 034 transmission mount insert. Neuspeed turbo discharge damper.
  • Exterior: OEM GTI side skirts, and rear duel cutout valance. Maxton Design front valance. OEM accessory hatch spoiler. “Kill All Wipers” rear wiper delete. Rear bumper reflector deletes. Black badges w/ colour matched inlays made by Badgeskins. Front bumper license plate holes professionally filled, and installed a tow hook license plate mount.
  • Interior: Interior is basic. Upgraded my lighting to LEDs, added a BFI shift knob, added some nice leather Tux Mats to cover all of the carpet.
