This is a complete Frankenstein of a build. This is my 3rd old Landcruiser project, and this time Im taking everything I have learnt and putting it into this one build. The goal from the start was very clear, I want a daily, streetable, fun car to drive, that looks old school, but drives modern and has all the modern comforts.
To that end, I took a 1993 Toyota 4Runner, threw away the body, engine and gearbox and then cut and extended the chassis by 300mm. I then took a 1998 Lexus LS400, gutted it of its 1uz-fe vvti, a650e auto box, complete wiring loom, front seats and center console, as well as a whole pile of other things. Then finally I took a 1966 Toyota Landcruiser FJ-45 body and shoehorned that over the whole thing.
Even though she\'s not yet finished (paint to come, AC to come, bar work to come), I have been daily driving her for over 6 months now. Absolute blast to drive, great power and torque from the v8, comfortable with the 4runner suspension and just puts a smile on my face every day.
