When my first car got totaled (a 2005 Hyundai Elantra) I was given an insurance check for $4000. My dumb teenage self wanted a mustang, but my family friend messaged my father and said "don't get your son a sh*tbox." He said he had a car for me in return for the insurance check and that it was going to be better than anything else at that price point. That car turned out to be a 1987 BMW E30. And it was the best thing that ever happened to me. This car was and always will be my baby. When I got it, it was a 2 owner BMW that nobody wanted, but I loved it. I daily drove this beauty for 3 years with no problems, and started making content with it on TikTok. Before I knew it, E30s became one of the most sought after cars! I modified it, restored it, and made countless videos with the car. My love for BMWs continued to grow. After 7 years of ownership, she is now manual swapped, tuned, and fully restored to be my perfect BMW.
