I bought this car around the 2019 timeframe after selling my 98 3000gt base model version of this which started me on this journey. I started modding / doing maintenance on it.... mainly maintenance as per usual: The previous owners shameful negligence. Finally having a pair of turbos, the relationship with this car started off fairly well. Hammered out a few maintenance items as they came up and had more than a handful of mods on it by the end of 2019. The start of 2020 began with a massive overhaul, Standalone ECU, tune and bigger fuel. Shortly after this the engine blew as the previous owner's negligence eventually caught up with me. Luckily, I had already started prepping for a new fresh build before this happened. I had a new 6spd trans and transfer case in the works, a set of custom billet Greddy turbos. The engine was getting pulled and I had a whole slew of parts ready for this new build. I was finally able to work with a buddy and his shop to get this baby built and back on the road. This whole process took 3 1/2 years or hoarding parts, hoping, waiting and being let down by various other shops in this area. Finally come august of 2023 my car started up, we tightened up some loose ends and then spent a few days getting this baby tuned just in time for me to drive it down to my sister's wedding in October. Now I am just meticulously maintaining the car and enjoying it as much as I can.

This was and is my dream car from highschool. I remember standing at the bus stop in my junior year in highschool... Carless. This green 2nd Gen VR-4 comes cruising down the road past the bus stop and I was in awe. From that moment on I knew that was going to be my car one day. Fast forward to 2019 I was finally able to make that purchase. Only for it to start another journey in building this thing to how I want it.
