At MartiniWorks, we believe in transparency and empowerment when it comes to buying car parts. That's why we've developed a unique "rep" filter for wheels. By labeling each wheel that we offer as a Replica Design, Inspired Design, or Original Design, we're removing uncertainty and giving enthusiasts the confidence to make informed decisions about the wheels they put on their car.
Our aim is not to discourage individuals from buying Replica Designs. Instead, if the wheel design is something that matters to the buyer, we can provide that information to them. We're here to educate and inspire enthusiasts to buy wheels that work best for them; regardless of the label associated with them.
This is a way to see from a design and usage perspective if a wheel has heritage in this marketplace.
This is not an exclusive determination of wheel quality. All wheels can get damaged, bent, broken, cracked, and damaged. New wheel models or new wheel brands are not automatically reps.
To be as objective as we can when it comes to defining these definitions, we've put together a list of key features that we look at.
A design that shares greater than 80% of its key features with an existing wheel design. This is a wheel design that has been utilized in motorsport and/or has heritage in use across the globe.
A design that shares 40-80% of its key features with an existing wheel design. This is a wheel design that has been utilized in motorsport or is greater than 10 years old and is no longer in production or supported by the original manufacturer.
A design that features less than 40% of its key features with an existing wheel design. This is a wheel design that has been utilized in motorsport and is not in production by any preceding manufacturer.
Absolutely! Any wheel manufacturer is welcome to dispute the labels on their wheels featured on MartiniWorks. To do so, they must supply all required information that would showcase their wheel as being labelled appropriately.
MartiniWorks will reply to any claims within 21 days with an adjustment of label, or with the criteria that refrains our team from adjusting the label.
Manufacturers can contact us via our Contact Us page, or by emailing help@martiniworks.com.
