2008 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS “Saphira”

The Story

The vehicle was owned by 2 owners before myself. Both lived in Florida, and in 2019 it was traded in to a small dealership in Stevens Point WI. Was too good of a deal to turn down and jumped onto the Lancer bandwagon, mind you I wasn't a huge fan of the body style on that Lancer but the stock power and the way it handles changed my mind. I've always wanted something to show off at car shows/meets, but it was more of a creative aspect instead of a winning aspect. And I found my inspiration with this build here. I've never felt like I fit in anywhere with just a plain normal vehicle so I decided to strip this car down to the bare metal interior, everything was removed and cleaned/repainted. All the tan is now replaced with Jet Black and Bahama Blue. My inspiration for this build was based off the movie/books Eragon. I absolutely love dragons and Saphira took the cake for me so I took a risk and got tons of dragon scale dipped parts added to this build. It's not just a show car, I do daily it but also run it in rallies. The reaction on peoples faces when I explain the inspiration makes it all worth wild, seeing the kids get excitied to see the scales and hard work done absolutely makes my entire day. I took a stock plain Teal Lancer, cleaned it up, modified it within a few years. I do still have more to do and learn with this build.
