This 2013 Ford Focus ST is one of my babies, purchased to be used as a track day and Autocross car as well as a street car. Purchased with the ST3 package because of the more supportive bolstered Recaro seats, I have added the 4-point racing harnesses for track days and autocross use. The suspension has been changed to Eibach Springs and larger front and rear Anti-sway bars. Two Oil Catch cans are installed to try and reduce carbon foiling, a bi-product of the direct injection used in the direct injected Eco-Boost engine. I have also removed the Sound Symposer with an SS Delete kit and added a less restrictive Pod air-filter and RS Air box for extra induction sound as well as a Boomba BOV for that PSSSH and a cat-less Downpipe from Megan Racing. Up front I have a larger Mountune Radiator, DP Racing Intercooler and Mishimoto oil cooler surrounded by a TB Performance crash bar. A Cobb AP running a stage 3 tune makes it all work at the track. The rear spoiler has been swapped for a more prominent Ford Performance spoiler. Small additions of exterior lighting and LED bulbs have been added for visual effects as well as top and side matte black stripes. The original stock rims have been painted in matte black and I also have a set of 18” TR C3 rims shod with Nitto NT05 or Falken RT660 tires for sticky performance at the track. In Southern California I ran with Speed Ventures and Extreme speed Track Events, Porsche Owners Club and a monthly autocross in Camarillo put on by SpeedLimit Racing. During this time I instructed with most of these groups. I am now running at NCM MSP in Bowlingreen and with the local Clarksville Gearheads. I purchased the car in 2018 after I blew the motor in my beloved Subaru WRX STI. It isn’t intended as a pure track car as I also wanted to be able to drive it around town and to work but it is quick around the twisties. I have always loved Hot Hatches and am enjoying the car a lot, I hope you do as well. Come join me at a Track Day or Autocross event and maybe we can have some friendly, safe competition.
