2023 GR Corolla Core

The Story

I got this car new from the dealer (at MSRP) as they were just getting to the Midwest of March 2023, it came with all the options available (Performance, Winter, and Technology packages). The car was the result of waiting for the right newer-ish car (as I was waiting for the GR Yaris but also heard rumors of the Corolla early 2022) and my hard work saving up for something that I wanted. Having driven in my dad's 2015 Honda Pilot for about 4 years, driving it since getting my license, the GR Corolla was a nice change of pace that still fitted everything that I needed it to be. A quick, nice handling, and practical small car for my everyday needs. This being my first car that I've owned, it's fun learning to work on a new platform and general maintenance while chilling at meets and cruises, meeting with others that haven't seen one before. The car has been my daily driver that I've taken to HPDEs and spirited driving around the city. Though the build process is slow and steady, my plans with it is to create a clean, nice, and fast street car. The goal is just something simple kind of like a Keiichi Tsuchiya AE86 or Magnus Walker 911 "277" style, a car that I can still live with that (hopefully) isn't hassle but squeezes out the potential of the car and I. It's a long journey but hopefully I can keep this car for as long as I can and achieve what I want out of it.
