I bought this car in 2021 so that I could give my old car to my younger sister. Originally I went to the dealership to purchase an 86 but it was sold out from under me and this was the only other car within budget. A friend found a render of a body kit from the company called AIMGAIN INTERNATIONAL, and I fell in love only to find out the kit never went into production and only two were made. One kit was on their SEMA build and was the only production kit owned by a Japanese man named Yukio, the other a prototype kit that disappeared. Two years ago I met someone that had ties to the AIMGAIN company and helped me track down the kit. The owner wanted 9k for a preproduction prototype and I paid it because it was a dream to own. The kit arrived early 2024 and was in poor condition, crumbling from age and unpainted. I swiftly made repairs, got it wrapped, and debuted the kit at clean culture Dallas in June of 2024. The car was also bagged and had a fully converted rally suspension from Cusco done just in time. The car also has one off forged carbon pieces made by Freddy of G4Werks out of Florida. It’s had more downs then ups but as a build that I’ve wanted and dreamed of it’s been worth it. It’s all self funded and built with no sponsorships on a struggling income but it’s been well worth eating ramen and staying home.
