This car was meant to be cheap luxury with possibility for tuning since it was a 2.0 ecoboost. After 5 years if owning it I blew a piston in cylinder 1 and had the choice to revive it or call the car a loss. At this point I have been building the car for about 3 and a half years, and it has taken a spiral with the "while I'm in there" mentality the build is becoming a time attack ready car. Now, I’m pushing the limits of the 2.0L EcoBoost, proving that the MKZ can be a legitimate platform for enthusiasts. It’s an affordable luxury vehicle but still a Ford at heart, making it an accessible option for tuners. Both the 2.0L and 3.0L EcoBoost engines have incredible potential, yet the MKZ remains an underappreciated gem in the automotive world. No one modifies newer Lincolns because they were originally expensive luxury cars. Now a days they can be found for a third of the price. The reality is, they offer great features—remote start, Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, paddle shifters, and a spacious, comfortable interior, and all the power of a 2.0 ecoboost and capabilities to go much higher— all while still being cost-effective to modify, thanks to shared Ford Fusion parts.
