On July 27th, a tornado tore through Appleton and Menasha, Wisconsin. Our own backyard. Here is what happened, what we are doing about it, and how you can help.
On July 27th, an EF3 tornado touched down in our own backyard of Appleton and Menasha, Wisconsin. From 11:56 AM to 12:22 PM it traveled 12.1 miles south, damaging homes, destroying businesses, and displacing pets and animals.
The 140 mph winds took down power lines and blocked the roads people use to get home or head out for supplies. With more than 79,000 without power as of Monday, the local community is doing everything it can to help those in need, and that includes MartiniWorks. Our home is Appleton, and these are our neighbors who need our help.

Starting July 30th, MartiniWorks will be matching any donation made on the website during checkout, up to $5,000, where the funds will be donated to the Fox Valley Humane Association on August 6, 2026.
Additionally, the MartiniWorks team is donating hours to pack lunches, assist in neighboring cleanup efforts, and provide storage aid to individuals in need.
When you check out, you can round your total up to the next dollar or pick an amount, and 100% of it goes to the relief effort.
The funds will be going to the Fox Valley Humane Association.
Additional donations can also be made directly through the 2026 Tornado Community Response Fund.
When I was a kid, my $20 weekly allowance went to cat food. I'd walk it down to the OXXO near our place in Texas, buy what I could carry, and spend my vacations hunting down the cats, dogs, and whatever else nobody was feeding. Then I'd beg my dad to let me bring them home. Some of them made it into the house, but most didn't.
Two decades later I'm still at it, just with neighborhood cats, the local raccoons, and a few sanctuaries that pick up when Bekah & I call. Since we started MartiniWorks in 2022, I've wanted a way for all of us to do this together in a bigger way. Not for a press release or some tax thing, but for the family down the street, the puppy somebody surrendered, or the cat nobody came back for.
Now we've got one. MartiniWorks is genuinely excited to launch our giveback initiative; a way for us all to help the charities in our local communities to make a real difference.

The relief effort is where our attention is right now, but giving back is not a one-time thing for us. These are organizations we have supported before, and we will keep supporting after Appleton is back on its feet.
