Imported as an all-original, low-kilometer Spec R, this S15 went through an extensive build with one goal in mind: retain the timeless OEM+ appearance while improving upon the performance in nearly every area.
The SR20DET was fully built with Manley H-beam rods, Wiseco pistons, Brian Crower valvetrain components, Tomei PonCams, and Mazworx/ARP hardware. A Mazworx turbo kit paired with a Garrett G25-550, GReddy intake manifold, electronic throttle body, Injector Dynamics 1050cc injectors, and Link G4 ECU completely transformed the power delivery while keeping the car responsive and usable.
Supporting upgrades include a GReddy 23F intercooler, Koyo N-Flo aluminum radiator, Fluidyne oil cooler, GReddy oil filter relocation kit, Tomei Expreme Ti exhaust, ATI Super Damper, Carbon Microsystem carbon-Kevlar fuel tank, Radium fuel system components, and a Wiring Specialties engine harness.
The drivetrain and chassis received the same attention, with a Nismo Super Coppermix twin-plate clutch, Nismo engine mounts, HPI DG5 coilovers, and R35 GT-R Brembo brakes paired with 380mm AP Racing rotors. Volk TE37SLs wrapped in Yokohama Advan rubber complete the setup.
Visually, the goal was never to reinvent the S15. The car retains the full Nissan OEM aero package, complemented by Ganador mirrors and subtle upgraded OEM-style LED taillights. Inside, Bride Stradia III seats and a modern Kenwood/Focal/JL Audio sound system add functionality without taking away from the late-’90s Nissan character.
The end result is an S15 that still looks unmistakably like the car Nissan intended, but with the power, braking, suspension, cooling, and supporting systems to make it a significantly more capable version of the original.
OEM+ on the outside. Purpose-built underneath.
