Purchased my e36 6years ago with the intention to make it a super clean drift car. Started with welding the stock 3.15 diff and add a 4 point cage. Then bam blew the first m50 up before ever making it on the track. Threw another m50 2.5 in it in my trailer park drive way. Two weeks before my first drift event threw on a new tune and dropped a valve within 24 hours of being installed. Took a break from the car as I felt I was never gonna complete the journey I set out to do. Bought a house and figured I’d give it another try yet again put another m50 in the car and it ran for a couple months before my lifters sounded like a horse on a brick road. Yanked that motor out and got my hands on a m52 2.8. I completely swapped all my sensors, oil pump, valve cover, and intake onto the m52 to convert it over to obd1 as I’m kinda sick of these motors and don’t plan to keep it. So far so good. Finally getting the car on track and using it for what I’ve built it for. 4 events down and the car is just chugging along couldn’t be happier. Finally got an angle kit on the car and swapped a 3.91 into it and here we are today. Just ordered a set of over fenders cause drift cars don’t gotta look like they just came outta a junk yard. My future plan with this chassis is to ecoboost swap it and make it look as nice as possible while catching doors with the homies.
