# 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Sedan Turbo
## Rare G85 Sedan • BorgWarner EFR 7163 • Champion Motors Tuned
## Build Story
The Chevrolet Cobalt SS is often remembered for the coupe, but the sedan variant has always been the overlooked enthusiast choice. That is exactly what makes this build unique.
Starting with a rare **2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Turbo Sedan equipped with the factory G85 limited-slip differential**, this car was transformed into a purpose-built street performance machine. With only **754 turbocharged SS sedans produced between Canada and the United States**, the foundation was already something special before the build began.
Built in Ontario, Canada, the goal was to create a car that combined OEM reliability, sleeper styling, and serious performance while maintaining the character of the original LNF platform.
The factory 2.0L turbocharged Ecotec was upgraded around a **BorgWarner EFR 7163 turbo system**, with supporting fuel, cooling, intercooling, drivetrain, and suspension upgrades to create a complete and balanced street car.
The final result is a lightweight FWD performance sedan producing:
**403 WHP** **385 WTQ** **26 PSI Boost** **2,950 lbs**
The car maintains the practicality and sleeper appearance of the original Cobalt SS Sedan while delivering modern performance.

# Why This Build Is Different
The Cobalt SS Sedan has always lived in the shadow of its coupe counterpart, but that is exactly why this build stands out.
Instead of starting with the more common SS coupe platform, this build began with a rare factory G85-equipped SS Turbo Sedan. The goal was never simply to chase horsepower numbers — it was to create a complete car that could be driven on the street, perform when pushed, and remain reliable.
Every modification was chosen with purpose. The BorgWarner EFR 7163 turbo system provides the power potential, while the supporting upgrades allow the car to put that power down and remain enjoyable.
The result is a rare, lightweight factory performance sedan that combines sleeper looks with serious capability.
