I bought the car during the pandemic after going through a rough patch mentally. I had to sell my 2000 mustang gt just to afford it, but its a car I have dreamt about for years. I was not set on the buying this specific color, but when I saw it on marketplace I had to have it. A friend and I flew down to Indianapolis to purchase it sight unseen, and drove seven and a half hours back to Sioux Falls, SD. As we were getting closer to home we realized there was a massive thunderstorm. We rolled into town with some roads flooding and had to quickly get it back to my apartment garage.
Once I got home I was able to relax with my new car safe from flooding. A few weeks later I had the factory original tires replaced off the stock wheels. Being as I was selling parts for a ford dealer at the time I had access to the shop. When I had the tires replaced, I was able to verify some previous mods: Kooks long tube headers, Kooks x-pipe, koni front struts, BMR rear springs, BMR panhard bar, JLT intake, and a tune from Lund. After an unfortunate blowout less than two weeks with the new tires, I decided to put the American racing wheels off my old GT onto this one. I took a break from any more mods for a while as the car is fun to drive as is. I even took it to our local drag strip for a few passes. Eventually I got sick of how plain the deck lid was with no spoiler and dug the gt500 I had bought out of the garage. I had it paint matched and installed it. I also purchased a supercharger off of a 2020 mustang but have not had the time or money to even start with that project. Currently thinking about switching out the wheels for a set of Advan RG-4s and a few other exterior pieces to switch up the energy of the car.
