2017 Honda Civic LX

I purchased the car in 2018 on a whim after my first car finally gave out. While visiting a local Honda dealership, I came across a used 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback LX with only 15,000 miles on the odometer. The moment I saw that it was equipped with a factory 6-speed manual transmission, I knew I had to have it. Today, the chassis has over 281,000 miles and is still going strong. At around 120,000 miles, I upgraded to a lightweight flywheel paired with an OEM Civic Type R clutch. Around 130,000 miles, I switched to Hondata after previously running a K-Tuner setup. At approximately 170,000 miles, the engine gave out. After months of driving—including plenty of spirited driving—I discovered that I had been unknowingly driving with a blown head gasket. I replaced the engine with a used unit that had roughly 90,000 miles on it and installed new head gaskets before putting it in the car. At around 190,000 miles, the transmission began having issues, so I replaced it with a used transmission that had approximately 50,000 miles on it. The car currently rides on K-Tuned coilovers and features a custom ARK Performance exhaust system. It also has a set of candy red ARK Performance Albatross wheels, which help give the car its unique look while still staying true to my vision for a functional daily-driven build with some battle scars from years on the road. In the near future, I plan to replace the clutch again with another OEM Type R clutch and lightweight flywheel setup. This car has been through a lot over the years, but despite the mileage, repairs, and countless miles on the road, it continues to serve as both my daily driver and a project that I genuinely enjoy. With over 281,000 miles on the chassis and counting, it's a testament to how far a well-loved Honda can go.
