When you're a Registered Nurse on a mission to actually enjoy commuting to patients throughout three massive New England states in all weather conditions, but refuse to keep driving an old Subaru Forester, you come up with this... ridiculous idea: What is reliable but easy to fix? Cheap to fuel but pack enough punch to enjoy spirited driving on backroads? Give it enough tech to be modern but not overwhelming. Avoid RWD to have half a chance surviving New England snowstorms. It would help if it were compact to squeeze into tight parking spots, super stylish on the outside and had an interior quality that punched way above it's weight class for a $30k car. Hatchback utility is most practical for my medical equipment and obviously automatic transmissions are a deal-breaker... Ladies and gentlemen, I present my 2026 Mazda3 2.5s Premium 6 speed.
