Been an 8 owner since buying a wrecked one to fix up at tech school in 2009, daily drove that until I bought another one in 2013 and drove that until I found this gem winter 2025 with 5,000 miles. My dad and I road tripped from Omaha Ne to eastern PA to trailer it home. I replaced the original wheels and tires with my spare set painted with blue pearl over black wrapped with Federal 595 Pros, swapped out the stock exhaust with a BHR careless midpipe and Borla catback exhaust, and got a KBD front bumper working endlessly shaving the fitment at the marker lights and using plastic filler to improve the hood to bumper gap. During this time I peeled the lenses off the headlights and blacked out the internals and added LED strips inside the housings. Trying to do a mid 2000’s style build. Next is a Sohn adapter and suspension for a slightly lowered look.
I’ve never had any engine issues with any of my 8’s. Just do plugs every 20k miles, coils every 40k miles, remove the cats and drive it like you stole it. No premix on my other cars either.
