Prior to this car I had 0 mechanical knowledge. I got this car 2 years ago as my first car (other than a beater) in Illinois and it came with many surprises I learned a while later. Cracked radiator, blown coils (I literally thought they just drove that rough, and did not care lmao), bald tires, a very nice custom exhaust, and some e85 lines underneath. I still have questions about what was done, why it was done, and the reason for selling; but whatever, shes mine now.
In that time I’ve self taught myself (s/o youtube) how to do everything that’s been done to the car today, that list being: New coilovers, new radiator, new diff seals, the wrap (due to Mom backing into my while visiting 🙃), the headlights/taillights, underglow, interior lighting, body work, and many, many small issues I’ve learned how to fix. Theres still more to do, and plans I’ve made for the future,
I plan on re-wrapping the car next year, re-doing some of my body work (you can see some clear through the wrap if you look just right) and fixing up some of the other small things I’ve been ignoring lol.
Not trying to knock my car at all, I absolutely adore the thing and 2 years later I get excited seeing it in my driveway, but - keeping it real here.
TLDR: I knew nothing, know a little more, and absolutely love this thing. This is just the beginning.
