Okay, let me start by saying this "build" is only BC coilovers that were on it when I bought the car, STI shorth throw shifter that was also already on the car, and a few minor cosmetics that I installed with my son. It's still extremely early in the build process, but I can explain...It's my very first "fun" car, and I am basically poor (lmao), and it's even my first manual...which I had to teach myself in about 15 minutes. I have only ever had boring automatic beaters. I got this car last year at a turning point where a plethora of things began to change in my life...some for better, and some for worse. When I purchased the car used from a local-to-me Honda dealership for $27k it was bone stock besides some old bc racing coilovers and the sti shifter. They neglected to tell me the front passenger coilover was blown (idk if they even knew), and I didn't know what I was supposed to be looking for buying this kind of car, and the car fax were totally clean, and didnt realize it until 6 months later. Fast forward to now, and I just started my 3rd semester of automotive school to learn how to work on cars because soon after I discovered the blown coilover, I had to have a wheel bearing replaced and it was crazy expensive. So for my midlife crisis, I decided to learn a new skill that would help me take care of, and build my new car without being robbed by dealership repair costs. I love this car so much despite the hiccups. She makes me smile every single time I see her. I have a roof rack and a basket that I am in the process of saving for, and will eventually get her back onto oem suspension for more height than I have now. The wheels I am going to put on her are Method 502's in gold wrapped in Wildpeaks, and in general, I have many things still planned for the build, bother performance and cosmetic, but intend on keeping it simple and mostly stock since it is my only car. Im going for a sort of safari inspired daily driver. Sorry for submitting such an early build, but I figured the story would remind other old uncs that it's never too late to learn something new and start a new chapter, and to remind everyone that sometimes something might seem bad at the time, but it can lead to something much better.
