Originally a humble yet nimble 1.8L 6 speed hatchback with pretty good handling thanks to its independent rear suspension, I decided it needed more power and turbocharged the original motor and made 319WHP/295WTQ@13PSI on stock internals and stock ECU. However, as luck would have it, the wastegate hose had become brittle and snapped which caused the turbo to send all the boost and throw a rod. Now I'm in the process of swapping in a K24Z3 with a CRV AWD 6 speed manual transmission. It already has the engine and transmission in it, now it's just a matter of putting axles in and throwing in a Jaguar rear differential. The goal is having a 500WHP car on-demand and daily at 400-ish. I have plans to road race it, auto cross it, touge runs, drag racing, roll racing and that's about it.
