Everything You Should Know About the TE37

The TE37 lineup explained: what is the difference between the submodels?

Volk has made dozens of different versions of the TE37. The differences are subtle, yet specific to each model. Whether it is a limited finish, spoke sticker, reinforced lip, or a specific size, there is a TE37 for practically everything. Below you can shop every TE37 we carry and filter down by size, finish, and bolt pattern.

How much do TE37s cost, and why are they so expensive? Are they worth it?

A set of TE37s costs anywhere between $2,400 and $5,600 depending on size and model. These are some of the most iconic aftermarket wheels of all time. They are monoblock forged wheels made in Japan, and utilize a specific forging technology developed by Rays Engineering. The racing heritage, materials, manufacturing cost, and the JDM tax are why these wheels are so expensive. Are they worth it? Yeah, absolutely. We doubt you would find a TE37 owner that would say otherwise.

How to spot fake TE37s (and reps vs authentic)

Unfortunately, spotting fakes is getting harder, but there are still key things to look out for. Look for Volk Racing and Rays branding. Check the back and inner barrel of the wheel for markings like "Forged" or "Made in Japan". Center caps are usually a dead giveaway: real TE37s use specific caps when they ship with them. Weight is the real factor. Real TE37s are fully forged and extremely lightweight. Most replicas are gravity cast or flow formed and heavier. If you know metallurgy, casting marks will also give fakes away. Buy from an authorized dealer. MartiniWorks is one of them.

What are the alternatives to the TE37?

If you want a similar style made by the same brand, you cannot go wrong with a set of Gram Lights 57DR wheels. Those are a less expensive alternative that are flow formed and still backed by Rays Engineering. The Enkei T6R is the most budget-friendly alternative if you want the six-spoke look without the forged price tag.
