This is a 1990 Acura integra sedan with a stock (accord) k24z3 5 speed. No special bells and whistles bare bones Frankensteined together.
Long story short original b18a1 was tired and needed work and went looking for an engine for it. Came across a 2008 accord coupe wrecked in the front end just enough to deploy airbags and totaled it out. Bought the accord drove the accord home and tore EVERYTHING off it except suspension, that’s all wiring, ecu fuse boxes, engine/transmission, all of it. To shorten the story a bit I Frankenstein the 2 together and it acts like 2 cars in 1. it has 2 ignitions, 5 fuseboxes, factory accord ecu, a functional immobilizer, electronic throttle body and gas pedal, cables driven clutch. There no jumper harness so both the engine and chassis run as separate entities or the integra acts as a rolling engine stand if you will lol.
I have about $1200 total in the entire swap, it been my daily driver for 2 years as is. It’s not pretty it’s rattle canned ivory with a dark copper bay (yes I did it and 3 years ago lol) it’s been a good low maintenance car for me honestly and recently acquired a garage so it’s about to get much needed work and a makeover get it right again.
