2004 Acura RSX K24

The Story

As a kid back in 2003-2004 I was about 7-8 years old. I remember seeing a rsx rolling off a dealership and instantly became a gear head that day. Out the many years of owning motorcycles and cars. Late 2020 I saw a rsx in great condition for sale I had to jump on it so I did. Didn’t realize really how old the car was by then and first week she had multiple problems that made me disappointed but it wasn't the car but previous owner. By mid 2023 she was at 231k miles running and looking amazing. I noticed a tick but thought was an injector noise since that common with these cars so I ignored it. One day on my way home a kid on a skateboard was screaming at me to do something cool. So as the guy I am I started burning out at the red light when I noticed the tick was super loud kinda like a loose bike chain. As I got home the motor made a large bang and as I pulled motor apart. The lower timing chain guide came out in pieces and the exhaust cam and valve where damaged. I was upset but having another car I started my k24 swap on Oct 8th 2023. Months off poor financial decisions, ramen, and cheap pizza. My other vehicle lost its transmission and in a rush of two days I got the k24 swap running Feb 24th, 2024 with everything i wanted but wrong injectors and exhaust. She then got tuned for the meantime and with small injectors and exhaust she made 196HP 181 TQ
