Back in 2005, this older women and her husband had went to the dealership to trade in their mk3 Jetta that they had owned for years. The car was always brought back to the dealership where they first had taken delivery of it. She had fallen in love with it. Drove it every chance she could until… The transmission decided it was its time. Her or her husband couldn’t afford the bill to have it swapped out. They left the car as a lawn ornament. It had sat for 7 years, until my best friend was doing well work for them and noticed the car sitting for weeks on end while he was out there. Later asked if she would take a 1,000 for the car. She had at first told him no I can’t do that low. But another week went by and she had given him a ring letting him know he can come take it for a 1,000 if he promised to her that it would be taken care of. She is now reading 244,240k. I had bought it with just shy of 200,000. Original motor decided it was a good time to leave the chat at 240,440k. Now has a 2.1 non stroker with 660cc and a ko4 for break in
