I bought the car mid 2025 in Virginia Beach, VA. I was actually looking at an RS5 on the lot but noticed the S5. You might think I’m crazy for choosing the S5 over the RS5 but hear me out lol. They both have similar engines, both have AWD, the S5 was a whole $10k cheaper with only 100 hp difference. Unlike the RS5, the S5 came with a manual. So I ended up going with the S5. Fun fact, I wasn’t looking for anything remotely rare but apparently the 6mt+ the 4.2 is a rare combo. I didn’t think the car looked aggressive enough in the front so I did a B9 RS5 conversion on the front end (headlights, hood, front bumper, and fenders) which I think looks amazing. It’ll definitely throw people off a little because the V8 stopped being offered after 2012 so seeing my car, people might think it’s a B8.5 or B9 until they hear it running or know what they’re looking at. Hence the build’s nickname, “Deb8able S5”.
