2022 Ford Mustang Mach 1 “Prince” build

October 28, 2025

The Story

Going up as a young lad I had some pretty cool family that got me into cars. Specifically Mustangs from the 60s from which me and my uncle would modify and make our own. Fast-forward 15 years and that influence carries over when you have adult money. I knew that I wanted a unique specification and a limited production model of the Mustang. I had a GT500 for a brief period of time and really missed having a manual transmission. The voodoo motors from the GT 350 or prone to having issues and I wanted something more updated then those years of Mustangs. This car has a smorgasbord of parts from all of the Shelby program and the Mustang GT performance pack. I always start with wheels, and lowering springs for my cars, which was a little bit more difficult on this vehicle since it had amazing looking OEM wheels. I to go with Apex wheels since I had such good luck with them on my M4 previously. I was a little spoiled by how easy and clean BMW fitment can be so it was a little bit more difficult to dial in on this car. Looking back at it I wishI would’ve gone with 20 inch wheels to fill up the wheel wheel since there’s so much bigger than what I thought but it still handles amazing. This platform is of a dying breed and has tons of upward promise. Many people sleep on these cars since they did not come with the GT 350 engine, but I’m not complaining. The extra torque from the coyote and the reliability make it a no-brainer. And did I mention it has 305 front tires and 315 rears from factory? Every time I drive this car, I fall more in love with it so here he is, “prince”
