The Story
Bought this as a stock car after my EK was written off, first EG I've owned. It's what's known as a GLI here in Australia, so has power windows and came fuel injected with a D15 engine but was auto. But from the moment I bought this car it's been nothing but trouble. Flew interstate and bought it sight unseen and flew down to Sydney to buy it. The 9 hour drive home then ended up taking 20 hours because of an overheating issue and a flat tire in the middle of a massive mountain range in the middle of no where. Sat for about a year til I swapped in a B16 and manual converted it as I needed a daily and then daily drove it for 6 months before it decided to not run properly. To he fair the swap was done in a day. That was 2 years ago and it's still not running after spending too much money on it. Currently trying to get it to the point of being a safe track car but it's a real love hate relationship.
