I wanted a fun daily driver and family car. Between my wife and I we only had one car, my old Mazda SUV. My company gave me a work truck so for a few years we just needed the one vehicle. Then in March 2026 we had our son, and I realized that we’re both going to need a car. I used to have an RX-8 and I loved that car, I wanted to get another one for a project car but now that I’m a dad I wanted something at least slightly more reliable. So I looked around and the Elantra N was the perfect mix of fun, reliability and safety. The car has an aftermarket BOV and mid pipe, along with a small front splitter. My boy loves to go for rides in “dad car”. He also loves to just chill in the garage and watch me and my cousin work on our cars. I hope that driving and working in this car will help my boy get into cars, just like the way my dad got me into cars.
