1991 Infiniti Q45

The Story

This is a bit of an oddball when it comes modification. But I've always wanted to tinker with the 4.5L V8 Nissan/Infiniti used in its earlier years and was able to get ahold of this 1991 Q45 relatively cheap, though it did have a misfire. Replaced all 8 injectors and did a ton of other needed maintenance to get it running properly again and now its the foundation of this project. My goal is to have a fun, unique rear wheel drive V8 for street driving, cruising and occasionally racing on a drag strip or autocross. Since I just got it working normally again, I'm still a ways out on the big lofty fun stuff, but currently working on getting the parts welding up the 3"" stainless exhaust for it as the original exhaust was leaking/restricted. Coil overs and manual transmission swap are in the works next. There isn't much aftermarket support for these cars or the engine, so a lot of stuff will have to be fabricated or made custom, but will hopefully have something a bit outside the norm in the end.
