I owed a 2011 wrx from 16 til 20 that was bagged show car then realized it was time to move onto a better platform to make power. I found a 55k mile evo 9 6 hours away and bought it 2 days after it was posted. Always wanted an evo in high school but post covid prices just made them unaffordable for a clean car.
Everyone compares subarus and evos and once you drive both it doesn’t make much sense. I daily drive a 16 sti and the cars feel entirely different in how they handle and the power band but they both are expensive and unreliable once you start making higher power.
