The Story
Bought 2 chassis (1 complete 1 roller) and 2 sr20det engines (1 complete 1 lognblock - rods and pistons) back in 2018 one was beginning to rust in the usual places and had some terrible paint job. (black car) both came not running the complete SR was off a fresh build bought all this from a guy my dad worked with who was moving for work. The red shell was clean and free of rust. The engine was already in the black chassis so I got it started in that and ran it in that car for a year until I blew it up when the boost lines came off and the car ran lean and melted a piston rebuilt it and swapped it to the red chassis with 9:1 pistons as my very first engine rebuild after figuring out i ordered the wrong size main bearing when my oil pressure was way too low at idle and the lovely sr timing chain shutter had broke. It was time to rebuild it again which didnt take long at all now with the right bearings and the mazworks oil squirter installed, she finally ran well. which is still running strong years later pretty low miles still for various reasons through the years but never engine problems. I've done just about everything to the suspension solid rear subframe bushings isr arms all around other than the LCAs fronts are stock that i replaced in 2020 rears were ebay special that I found out had been installed without only four of the eight joint spacers. Causing binding in the arms as well as excessive wheel hop. Replaced with Amazon rebrand special LCAs that are more stout and came with rubber covers around the joints. BC coilovers all around with 17x8 rotiforms wrapped in falken Azenis 615k+s I'm still getting wheel hop on launch due to bad diff bushings on my s14 diff with a s13 cover plate on it GKtech solid bushings should be in tomorrow or Monday to stiffen that up.
As for the engine its mostly stock other than hard intercooler piping and FMIC, 550cc injectors and the aforementioned 9:1 CR CP carillo forged pistons and eagle forged rods that were already in the engine bored and honed out to 87mm and crankshaft and caps were honed as well. For the ECU I'm running a haltech elite 1000 aem wide band, truboost and oil pressure gauges powering out to 14.5 psi on the stock T25.
