1999 Nissan Skyiline 25 GT R34 Enthusiast build

1999 Nissan Skyline 25GTMillennium jadeRoloR34@RoloR34

The story

I found this car on Goonet in Japan, bought it sight unseen, had it in storage for a year and half before it was able to be imported, 4 months before it was eligible for import, I flew to Japan for vacation, and to meet this car. I'm 6'2 so I was surprised when I first sat in it, as it's a bit small. Anyway, I get the car, drive it around, do some maintenance on it, while doing spirited u turns, I broke the u joint in the drive shaft, and figured it was a good reason to pull the motor and begin the build. That was 1 year and 9 months ago. What I wish I knew before I stated the build is, whatever timeline or budget I thought I had, multiple it by 2. So many things went wrong, or I messed up on, part lead times, wrong parts, etc, it all took time and money. Especially with no real knowledge of JDM cars or support as I'm doing this in my cluttered home garage. The build started December 2024, finally getting it tuned Sep 12. Engine, drivetrain, brakes, wiring, all done by me, at home. It's built with Limited tools, knowledge, and parts (Might have snuck some IndyCar heat shield scraps on a few components). Late night mistakes, freezing Indiana winters, exhausting IndyCar Race seasons, all add to the feeling of accomplishment of what I built.
