I bought this car to fulfill a lifelong dream of owning a mid engine, analog sports car. I wasn't intending to get a Porsche, but it was love at first sight. I purchased from what looked to be a reputable dealer on Bring A Trailer who had serviced the car before sale. 480 miles, a blown engine, and used oil analysis later, I learned they had delivered the car to me WITH THE WRONG OIL!!!
I hadn't even made the first payment yet and I was stuck with a nearly worthless paperweight, and engine rebuild quotes more than the purchase price of the car. But I couldn't let myself give up on my dream so soon. I fell in love with the car, and you can't put a price on love. I doubled down and spent the next 2 years working as hard as I could to pay for the repairs. I sent the car to Slakker Racing and paid them $45,000 to rebuild the car into a 4.1 Liter turbocharged monster making 572 hp, and 527 lb-ft of torque on 7.5psi of boost.
The car is now better than ever, and I genuinely cannot imagine a better driving experience for the money. It's the perfect blend of engaging, precision performance and OEM+ in the best way possible. As a former Porsche hater, I can confidently say they've won me over. The hype is real, they really are that good.....
