Hi, My name is Ashley and this is my Proton coupe. Proton are a malaysian manufacturer and around this time (1999) were rebadging mitsubishi cars.
this my 5th Proton. started in 2007 and joined the owners club. never looked back
These are just badge engineered mitsubishis.
based on the mirage asti coupe. with a 1.8 4g93 N/A
currently a miss match of parts from both proton and mitsubishi.
the biggest upgrade being the td04 and everything to bolt it on from the lancer gsr (92-96)
running a low boost of 7psi @ 185bhp day to day to keep it reliable. but have upped this to 10-12 @ about 200bhp for drag racing. where I have a PB of 14.47 @ 96

wheels were rota grids but they were abit extreme so dropped down to some generic black wheels. r888r's on the front and nankang ns2r's on the rear
The car gets used as a full all rounder. from doing chores. to drag racing. track days to backroad blasts and shows.
I dont ever see me selling it
