The Story
I’ve owned the car from September of 2020 to February 2026. Bought the car from a guy in Southern Michigan and was informed that the car originally belonged to his grandmother who lived in Texas. The paint of the car wasn’t the greatest as the clear coat was pealing and color was badly sun damaged.
It started out as a cool daily for me but long term I wanted it to be something much cooler. Started off with a doing smaller things like a lip kit, wheels, and fortune auto coilovers.
The moment I was able to purchase a second vehicle that’s when things got pretty serious with modifications. I purchased a set of PSI bags with airlift 3P management. Bought a real JDM Crossport front clip. Placed a custom order on a set of Work VS-XX. Wheel specs 18x9.5 +19 offset. This gave me a decent lip size and still able to get a good fender to lip setup. Tire were a 215/35 Nexen NFera SU1. From there I had a Circuit Demon build me a custom set of retrofitted headlights. Had a body shop mold a Crossport STI lip on the bumper for a more sleeker looking front bumper. Reupholstered all pillars and headliner with a black suede, swapped the front seats outs with some 2011 STI leathers and wrapped up the interior with a custom trunk setup. The car was then wrapped in a Metallic Blood Red from Aura Vinyl. Wrap was done by Elvis and Ramiro at Exclusive Customs.
The car also has some engine work done and a few other goodies such as STI top mount intercooler, Perrin short ram intake, IAG equal length headers and uppipe, CNT Downpipe that was shortened with oval piping so we can dump the car on its nuts when aired out, and with straight piped all the way back to a turbo XS muffler.
Building this car was so much fun. Made a lot of great memories and friends through this car. Sadly, life had some greater plans for me and it was time that I parted ways with the Forester, but I plan on getting another build going in future.
