I bought this car when I was 18, fresh out of high school. It wasn’t the car I originally had in mind, but the moment I saw it for sale, I knew I had to have it. The funny part is, I didn’t even know how to drive manual yet, so I had my brother-in-law drive it home for me from over an hour away.
I’ve always loved the way Subarus look, and my brother-in-law inspired me to buy a base model and slowly turn it into something of my own. The plan was to modify it until I got bored of it — but that never happened.
Since the day I bought it, this car and I have been through everything together: a blown motor, broken parts, late nights in the garage, and countless hours spent learning, fixing, and improving it. No matter what happened, I never gave up on it.
This isn’t just my first car — it’s a part of my life. It’s been there for some of my best days and helped me through some of my worst. Along the way, it’s introduced me to incredible people, opened doors to opportunities I never expected, and even allowed me to work with some amazing companies.
At the end of the day, this car is more than a build to me. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come, and it’s something I’ll probably keep for the rest of my life.
