I picked up this 2024 Subaru WRX Premium from Salina Subaru in Salina, KS in February of 2025 after spending a long time looking for something that could balance daily driving, personality, capability, and long-term build potential.
I’ve always been drawn to cars that feel connected to the driver, and the WRX checked a lot of boxes for me with the AWD, manual transmission, strong aftermarket support, and a community that actually enjoys building and driving their cars.
This build started as a way to make the car feel more like my own, but it’s slowly turning into something bigger through Dirt Panda Racing and the content I create around it. The goal is to build a clean, functional, visually recognizable WRX that reflects both performance culture and quality automotive media.
Current mods include:
- STI short throw shifter
- Perrin Shift Stop
- Window tint
- PPF (front end)
- Ground Aero
- High Back Duckbill
- Smoked Reflectors (Light)
- 4 Channel Dashcam (Hardwired)
- Center Console Extension
Future plans:
- Wheels & tires
- Suspension
- OEM+ styling
- Cinematic/content-focused upgrades
- Performance Mods
- Tune
One thing I wish I knew before getting into the platform is how fast your plans evolve. What starts as “just a few tasteful mods” quickly turns into researching fitment, suspension geometry, wheel specs, tire compounds, aerodynamics, filming setups, and the endless rabbit hole of aftermarket parts.
Still learning as I go, but that’s part of the fun.
