2000 Toyota Altezza

I wasn't searching for this car, it kind of found me at the perfect time and then slowly became my dream car after owning it. I wanted to import a car from Japan and I wanted to keep my budget down so I started looking into the Suzuki Cappuccino. As my list of things I wanted for the car grew so did the cost of the car. Then I figured since the budget grew I should look into other cars to import so I expanded my search and bid on all sorts of cool Japanese cars, not winning any of the bids. Finally I found my Altezza as a quick sale, at a dealership where I can just pay outright, no bidding necessary. There were still a few cars I wanted at the same time but after weighing my options I realized the Altezza would be more practical, 4 doors and 5 seats so I cam bring the whole family with me and I didnt get limited to only driving it to shows alone I could actually semi daily it. It has a North American version so anything other than power train parts would be readily available and it had everything else I wanted, RWD, manual, came with sweet wheels right off the bat. On top of all that this was my most used car in carx drift racing online. I didnt like the colour of it as I'm not into red cars, but it grew on me as time went on. I had no idea what the Qualitat Modellista was but after learning I was so glad I got that version. I fell in love with the high revving 3S-GE beams engine and 50-50 weight distribution. The more I learned about the car the more I grew to love it until realizing that this is my dream car! I would gladly own a bunch of these, a daily, a drift car, a rally car, everything i would love one of these! But for now the wife will only let me have one lol. At one point I went on Instagram and I seen a post of someone with the same car as me in Japan, a Toyota Altezza Qualitat Modellista Super Red and I commented "I like your car!" Which led him to my profile and because the Qualitat Modellista Super Red was such a limited thing in Japan he knew my exact car from when it was in Japan! He sent me over a picture of it and I knew that it was mine because of the same wheels and the black door handles and mirrors which are usually red, so I thought that was super cool! I love this car and I cant wait to grow with it over the years! This build thread will include pictures from the day i got the car into Canada all the way until now!
