2024 Toyota GR86

The story

It's been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember to build an authentic Pandem/RocketBunny car for as long as I can remember. I love the aggressive street presence of a widebody kit, and the Pandem kits are as aggressive as you can get. I had a 2013 FR-S that I loved to death, and eventually traded it in for an MKV Supra.. The Supra was an awesome car don't get me wrong, but it just didn't speak to me the same way the FR-S did. I sold the Supra and knew I wanted to build something wild, and different. I also knew that it had to be an 86. I saw my car for sale in Oregon with a nice set of Rays Gramlights (57DR), and a decent set of coilovers, plus it was a manual. I had never driven manual before, but it was something I've always wanted to learn so I taught myself how to drive it in about three weeks. Once I knew how to drive it, it was finally time to modify it and plan the build out. I used Forza Horizon 5 to come up with the color scheme I wanted, as well as gauging what style of wheel would compliment the body kit the best. I bought the Pandem kit two weeks after I learned how to drive it, took it to a shop and had it installed to a show quality standard (really glad I did). During the three month install, I researched custom wheel companies and stumbled across E6 Forged. I shared my vision with them, and told them the theme I was going for and we came up with a 7-Spoke design with carbon fiber lips to really set the build off, and it did. After getting the wheels on the car I was blown away, seeing the widebody on with the new wheel setup was a feeling I'll never forget. I underestimated what it really took to bring a widebody build to life (and how expensive it would be), but seeing the car every time I park it will always bring a smile to my face. I drove the car on coils for a few months and quickly learned that I needed Airlift, so I worked as much overtime as possible to get them on the car (while sprinkling in some other parts) to finish V1.5 of the build. The result? The most blacked out Pandem GR86 I've ever seen, with a street and show presence like no other.
