F82, F83 BMW M4 Car Parts

The F82 (coupe) and F83 (convertible) M4 gave BMW's M division a new naming convention and a turbocharged inline-six for the first time in the M3/M4 lineage. The S55B30 twin-turbo 3.0L makes 425 hp and 406 lb-ft stock, with a broad torque plateau that hits full boost by 1,850 rpm. That motor responds well to a downpipe and tune, with Stage 1 setups regularly pushing past 500 whp on the stock turbos. From the factory, the F82 rides on 18-inch wheels (base) or 19s on Competition and GTS trims. The common bolt pattern is 5x120 with a 72.56mm hub bore. Staggered fitments are the norm. Most owners land on 18x9.5 +22 front and 18x10.5 +25 rear for track use, or 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 for street builds. Suspension-wise, the F82 came with adaptive M dampers (optional on base, standard on Competition). Aftermarket coilovers from KW, Öhlins, and BC Racing are popular. KW V3s are the go-to for street and light track duty. Öhlins Road & Track kits show up on dedicated track cars. The rear subframe mounting points are a known weak spot under hard track use, and solid subframe bushings or reinforcement plates are common preventive mods.
