Way back 2017, I decided I wanted to build a project with a 2J swap... no other details decided or even considered. So, I did the natural thing, and bought a 2J long block before I even had a vehicle to put it in. $600 shipped from a salvage yard in IL, and my project had begun.
Next, I made a short list of vehicles that I thought it would be fun to stuff a 2J into; An old El Camino, Chevelle, or Nova, maybe even a Chevy Luv. But, as luck would have it, I found a SWB '69 Chevy C10 up for grabs on Marketplace for $1,600. No engine, no trans, no problem. Seeing potential, my friends and I drove to rural Southwestern Iowa, dragged this truck out of a field, and took it home.
The next 5 years of random nights and weekends were spent building this TT 2JZ C10 with my friends from the ground up. Years after getting it running, the only thing left stock at this point is the glass!
