I bought Freddie a few years ago when i was 20 in 2019. I grew up in a family who were into cars. I was always wanted a muscle car but landed on the cougar because of roadkill garage.
Initally the car was a driver and there was no plan to rebuild it. one think lead to another and few months later we ended up guttung and stripping a perfectly running car.
Car didnt need much but we did it anyways, pulled the engine refreshed the motor, changed what i could, to make it reliable (i.e pump, carb, etc). We the stripped it down to bare metal and sent it out for metal and paint work, and a little chrome work. the car was pretty smooth sailing the only issue we had was exhaust. the long tube heaters created an issue with the power steering rack. ended up blowing up the piston with a poorly fabricated mount. maybe some fitment issues with the tires thrown on it. If im being honest it was a bad experience for a first time build because how how little issues i had. creating a false perspective that cars are easy... theyre not.
Been driving it for a few years now aside from a small electrical fire on the highway and redoing the wire harness in the engine bay Freddies been a grest ride and experience
