1996 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV

Been a DSM guy since I was in high school way back in the ancient days of the early 2000s. Evos were always the end goal for me. Eventually, I grew up and had money, but never lost the passion for DSMs and Evos. Since I had a lot of experience with this platform, I decided to open a shop on the side, specifically working on Evo 4-6 here in Washington when they first became legal. Imported this car to be the shop's demo car in 2021. Paid ~12k USD from auction. Car ended up needing a bit more love than photos and initial inspection showed (typical auction car). While it waited on the boat to come to the US, had a body shop in japan clean up some exterior issues. Once it was over here I got to work. Obviously a lot of stuff carries over from the Evo 8, but a lot of stuff we just never got here in the states, so I spent a ton of time trying out parts from Japan, Australia, and the UK to find what worked best both on street and on track. Eventually, money got tighter and my day job took up way more time, so I closed the doors to the shop, but still have the car. Admittedly she gets a bit neglected since most of my time goes to the FD or my dedicated personal track car. Been thinking of selling her, but this car will always have a special place in my heart.
