The Story
The Z build started when my father bought it back in 1992, it was bone stock with low miles, he ended up getting a kaminari body kit and wing, he also threw on some lowering springs. The Z sat like that for a long time and he drove everywhere with it. Then storing it during the Wisconsin winters. When I was born he showed me what the car community was about, took me to big shows and meets, taught me how to work on cars with the Z and taught me to drive it when I was young. I turned 16 he handed the Z down to me to keep it alive and running, I used as my summer daily from years on. Back 2019/2020 the transmission ended up losing 1st-3rd gear and reverse. At this point I was determined to bring this car back to life and turn it into what it was intended for, old school Japanese street build. I got the transmission rebuilt, upgraded the clutch and used a light weight flywheel. I torn the entire engine apart and refreshed all the components, put in lower compression pistons from a 88 turbo z31, fabricated a custom turbo set up, added a HKS blow off valve, rewired the engine harness and used a MS Goldbox as the ECM. Redo some body work and body kit, added a short throw shift, threw some wheels and coilovers on it. The car was pretty much perfect in my eyes for how I wanted it. The car was the tuned at dynotuned performance by curt. My dad is kind of jealous now since he seen the finished product. This car has a lot of family and sentimental value between me and my dad.
