I’ve always been a Nissan fanboy since my grandparents got a Frontier and I thought that was the fanciest thing in the world. Later on in life I’m looking to buy my first car and I’m looking at all types of sporty cars, and I go test drive a Scion FRS and I was kinda disappointed. A few months after that I started at a Nissan dealership as an apprentice and got the opportunity to drive a mint 350z and love the steering feel and the visibility from the driver seat. That lead me to looking for Zs more intently and I saw a the one I have now for sale just done the road from where I went to tech school at a small used car lot. I thought that’s funny I might as well go check it out, car ended up being super clean paint wise but a little rough around the edges here and there. The back hatch was missing the plastic trim from when the previous driver did a wiper delete (my assumption), the battery didn’t have a hold down and the terminals were super stretched, it had a muffler delete and was pretty obnoxious. So I bought that trim piece, fixed the battery situation, and put on a proper catback with resonators and mufflers (much needed improvement) and the car was feeling awesome. Now it’s probably a year or so later and it has resonated high flow cats (w/ ECUTEK tune from Z1), thunderlane TL one coilovers with Z1 FUCAs, henko autolabs rear alignment arms, white line front and rear sway bars/endlinks and Nismo LM RS6 wheels. The car feels super planted and much faster than it actually is. I’m thoroughly enjoying the platform and trying to do my part to make VQs not look so bad.
