I rescued this car just over a decade ago and have been working on it myself, restoring it and building it up into a precision track weapon. I probably could write an essay on the car itself, but to summarize; it's gone through various phases from a rebuilt street machine, a vintage race car, and now an extreme autocross-time attack race car. I focus primarily on SCCA events, mostly autocross. It is now a dry-sumped LS3 swap, on a fully caged/prepped chassis running on 315 square/18x12 ET LT-3 wheels on a custom flared/wide aero setup I designed, with bespoke Zebulon aero to complement. The rear wing is a rules maxing bi-element carbon wing tied into the chassis. I wanted this to be an expression of my vision and my abilities, so I taught myself what I needed to know. From learning how to weld and even 3D scanning/designing/printing my own body components it's just been one long passion project.
