As a Canadian, I always wanted a car that I could have fun in year round, and there really is no better option than a Subie. I researched for months before I settled on buying the VB WRX, and so far it's been rock solid. Handles the streets and our winters like a champ, and a great (first) manual car for me. I plan on keeping this car forever.
I will eventually go to coilovers, and slowly build this more.
Given the choice, I would have bought an RS (TR for the Americans) model simply for the Brembos, but the extra creature comforts the Sport Tech (Limited) has here have been great. Eventually long term, I will do a TR Knuckle swap and do the BBK conversion, but I am happy where this is.
Once I chew through these OEM tires, will switch to Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02.
Winter setup are the stock 18x8.5 wheels, with 20mm spacers and Nexen Winguard Sport 02 with 245/40/18
The car makes enough power for a daily driver; 320whp and 350wtq on 93 pump gas on a conservative tune.
